RestA few months ago, I had the great pleasure of reading At Home in the World, a wonderful collection of stories and teachings by the late Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh. I haven't been able to stop thinking about this profound quote in the book: “
The present moment is filled with joy and happiness. If you are attentive, you will see it.
For me, it's a reminder that rest and relaxation can be attained at any time, including in this very moment, should we so seek it. As we continue our sojourns into 2024, I encourage you to take a moment to return to yourself whenever your body or soul signals that it needs it. Whether rest comes through 30 seconds of breath work or a 15 minute power nap, you don't always have to wait to receive it.
